Meet our Pastor & First Lady
Keith & Kim Pugh

REV. KEITH PUGH was born on April 25, 1960, to the union of Lawrence and Daisy Pugh.  He was born into a family of five brothers (one who preceded him in death); and is the twin of Pastor Kenneth Pugh.

He attended Detroit Public Schools and is a graduate of Cody High School.  Pastor Pugh continued his education at William Tyndale Bible Institute where he majored in religion.

He received additional training at the International Christian Education Association; National Baptist Congress of Christian Education (Youth Division); Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church Leadership Conference; and Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church Annual Fall Conference.

He worked for the United States Postal Service (USPS) for over 35 years in a variety of capacities including supervisor, department manager, station manager, plant manager, area manager, district operations manager, post office operations manager in Chicago and postmaster. He retired as plant manager of the network distribution center. Pastor Pugh received several certifications and awards from the USPS including No Sick Leave Usage, U.S.P.S. Special Achievement Award, and Far Exceed Merit Rating.

He married the love of his life wife, Kim Pugh on May 28, 1988. Pastor and Lady Kim has three beautiful children, Jennifer, Shari and Shannon and is the grandfather of Michael, Sarina, John, & Mars.  

With all the teachings Pastor Pugh encountered, the call on his life was one that he answered without question, the call to preach the unadulterated word of God. Pastor Pugh preached his first message as a licensed minister in December 1990.  He became ordained in July 1992 under the leadership of Reverend O.E. Dixon, Sr., the founding pastor of Greater St. Matthew Baptist Church. He joined Chapel Hill in November 2000 under the leadership of the Dr. R. LaMont Smith where he became faithful in the different ministry gives that he was called to.

Pastor Pugh served as youth director along with his wife; and has served on several ministries including associate minister, Sunday School superintendent and teacher, Male Chorus and Solace Ministry.  His favorite scripture is Psalm 121 – “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” He is a member of the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education; Superintendents Council of Greater Detroit; and the National Association of Postal Supervisors. Pastor Pugh is the recipient of the following certifications/awards – Certificate of License (Gospel Ministry), and the Certificate of Ordination.
